Is there a such thing as work-life balance? A magical place where everything is at peace, in harmony, all at the same time? Not really. There is, however, integration. The agility that we as women, wives, moms, and leaders have to navigate the challenges, opportunities, and instantaneous changes that happen each day.
Integration allows us to be in one place at one time without the pull of having to be somewhere else. Mom guilt is a real thing we can discuss another day. But, integration means everything is co-existing, but is not necessarily equally important in the moment. It’s all important, but our presence in the moment governs our focus. Expecting balance is not realistic. Being able to integrate it all is.
