I am taking the time to especially support the wellness of essential workers while also supporting women with burnout during this season. In doing so, I had a chance to sit down with other leaders to discuss needs relating to the COVID response on the Empower Hour with Dr. Mike Weaver. I reveal a blueprint for response, and discuss essential worker wellness, mental health, and disparities in hospitalization data. We will need collective emotional recovery when this is all over.
During the webinar, we also hear from Georgia State University School of Public Health’s Interim Dean Dr. Rodney Lyn about the Governor’s decision flatten the curve. Dr. Jasmine Ward, DrPH gave an update on her data collection regarding African American coronavirus/COVID-19 morbidity and mortality rates. Her data per state is the most complete information available to public.
