Thanks for your interest in contributing to the book! 30+ influencers like you have been invited. The book is intended to be inspiration and support for ladies who are pursuing one of the most challenging goals in their life.
We want open and honest content for this, and we want real solutions. No rose colored glasses, but we don’t want to leave readers hanging with no answers either. The tone is optimistic, hopeful, and conversational. No need for citations, just share your heart. You’ll receive national digital publicity upon book release, the chance to mentor ladies through authorship, and please feel free to add the citation for your CV once finalized. Upon submission, you agree that no financial compensation is expected for your story.
Here is the question template. If you spend about a third of a page reacting to each prompt, more or less on some items, that would help us reach our 7 page content goal per contributor. Can you send along your completed 7-page response by July 20 to firstname.lastname@example.org? You can enter your final narrative below each question if that helps keep you on track. We will confirm receipt of your submission.
Feel free to forward this directly to other African-American women in FT/PT/online faculty positions. However, please do not post publicly. If you have questions and would like to book a chat, feel free to do so. We’re excited to hear about your experiences. Thanks for supporting this important work to build our legacy in academia!
