Dr. Jennifer J. Edwards is a leader in public health strategy and wellness. She connects with healthcare leaders and organizations to optimize impact and advancement. Jennifer has partnered with CDC and HRSA federal agencies as well as the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation on grant projects, including serving as Principal Investigator. She has also received NIH research training, and conducted community health research in South Africa.
She previously served in administration at one of the largest local health departments nationally; and has served at a federal agency where she wrote U.S. presidential appointee testimony submitted to the Congressional Record. Jennifer has also been a reviewer for Public Health Reports, the peer-reviewed journal of the U.S. Surgeon General’s Office, among other national journals.
Additionally, Jennifer has mentored doctoral students (DrPH, DHA, PhD), taught healthcare administration courses, and published books as well. She has also been a management consultant for national non-profit organizations on business development projects.
Jennifer speaks to women, leaders, and organizations on business, branding, leadership, and wellness topics. Jennifer is an MBAc, and earned a Doctoral degree (PhD) in Health Communication & Culture and a Graduate Certificate in International Studies from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She has a Bachelor of Science magna cum laude from Florida A&M University. She’s a fourth-generation entrepreneur, lover of yoga, hiking, and tea.
